History

Rare Finds Sound Design (RFSD) was founded by Oliver Menadue, a Sound Artist from the UK.

RFSD started life as a creative outlet for the music Oliver was making while studying at university. RFSD was previously named Menedh Du which is the original Cornish spelling of Oliver's second name "Menadue" meaning black hill. If you look closely, you can see how it inspired the RFSD logo.

What we offer

We offer creative tools for sound designers, musicians, producers and filmmakers.

Our Sound Effects are made up of designed and source recordings. The designed assets are great if you are working to a strict deadline and the source recordings are perfect for crafting your own unique sounds.

Foley Samples are bite-sized sound libraries. Offering 100% source recordings at a great price. Ideal for sound designers and game developers who need audio assets or music producers who want to add organic layers to their tracks.

Here at RFSD we take pride in the fact that every sound is recorded, edited and designed from scratch. By humans, for humans.

We want to create an authentic experience to build a trusted community of likeminded creatives.

We already have a growing community on our social media channels and a blog on reddit that you can join and post your own recordings.
