How it was made
All sounds are recorded from a real Hanimex Rondette 1200 RF slide projector, capturing the unique mechanical textures of analogue presentations.
All the recordings were captured using the Mid Side microphone technique and have been decoded into stereo.

About the prop

The Hanimex Rondette 1200 RF is a vintage 35mm colour slide projector from the 1970's.

It features a remote control for changing and focussing the slides. It's got a built in electric fan to protect the slides from getting too hot when they're near the lamp. The fan creates an excellent droning hum which would be great for Sci-Fi space ships or server rooms.

This was a fantastic Facebook marketplace find and with a little bit of TLC it cleaned up real nice.

The projector supports straight or circular slide trays/cartridges and we recorded the circular ones for this sound effects library.
